A shortage of immediate-release oxycodone tablets is expected to be resolved within months, according to the FDA. The agency is working with drugmakers to help increase manufacturing to meet demand, the FDA says in an update on its drug shortage website. Companies are shipping products as they become available, and the agency estimates it will take about two months to return to normal supply levels of the painkiller.
