Zostavax can be distributed directly to retail pharmacies as long as they can guarantee proper storage (the vaccine must be frozen until it's reconstituted for injection).

However, it's unlikely that a retail pharmacy would dispense this vaccine for administration in the physician's office due to the unique handling requirements. Most likely those pharmacies that provide on-site immunization services will dispense Zostavax.
