Retreatment Indication for Infergen
How are Plans updating their Hepatitis C prior authorization policies in response to Infergen's new FDA-approved indication for for retreatment of Hepatitis C in patients who did not respond to pegylated interferon and ribavirin?

"We decided not approve retreatment based on this study because it is only one open label study & has many flaws. The reported efficacy does not warrant daily treatment with an interferon (cost & side effects)"
