Default New Guideline on Diagnosis and Treatment of Trigeminal Neuralgia

The American Academy of Neurology has published a new practice parameter on treatment of trigeminal neuralgia. The guideline recommends carbamazepine as first-line treatment but suggests surgery be considered for refractory cases.
